The first in Central Asia! SCIYON has contributed to the completion and commissioning of the Kyrgyzstan waste technology disposal and power generation project

Recently, the first waste incineration power generation project in Central Asia, the Bishkek Waste Technology Disposal Power Generation Project in Kyrgyzstan, which was provided with a complete set of automatic control system solutions by SCIYON, was officially completed and put into operation. Kyrgyzstan's President Sadr Zaparov personally presided over the launch ceremony and delivered a speech on the spot. More than 200 people from both China and Kyrgyzstan attended the event. China Media Group International Channel featured the project during the second China-Central Asia Summit, describing it as "a landmark project of cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan in the field of green development, demonstrating the technological strength and responsibility of Chinese enterprises." Made in China: Outlining a Green Belt and Road

Launched in August 2024, the project plans to process 3,000 tons of waste per day. The project is currently processing 1,000 tons of waste per day, generating about 146 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually and reducing carbon emissions by 100,000 tons per year.

As a benchmark project of "solid waste treatment + green energy" in Central Asia, the commissioning of the project fills the technological gap in the field of waste energy treatment in Central Asia and provides a replicable and scalable successful example for solid waste treatment and energy transition in cities of Central Asian countries.

The project has always received high attention from Kyrgyzstan's top leadership. This year-end gift that transcends borders not only alleviates Kyrgyzstan's "garbage emergency", but also builds an ecological bridge for China-Kyrgyzstan cooperation. Kyrgyz President Sadr Zaparo said at the ceremony that the successful implementation of the project would also lay a solid foundation for the promotion of similar projects in other Kyrgyz cities, and that the model of Chinese enterprises would be replicated in cities such as Osh and Balkhash, allowing more regions to benefit from China's environmental protection technology.

This new plant, which draws on China's advanced waste treatment experience to create a model of "turning waste into treasure", is provided with an overall intelligent control solution covering the entire plant by SCIYON, including key systems such as the distributed control system (DCS), automatic combustion control system (ACC), and electro-hydraulic regulation system (DEH). It has achieved intelligent control of the entire process from waste reception, incineration, waste heat power generation to environmental emissions. At the same time, the solution is based on a fully self-developed unified platform, which not only achieves high integration and open interconnection of multiple systems, but also provides forward-looking support for the continuous release of future capacity and smooth upgrade of functional modules of the power plant with an expandable architecture, continuously safeguarding the safe, efficient and clean operation of the power plant.

During the more than 500 days from the project's start to its completion and commissioning, the "Iron Triangle" project team of SCIYON worked closely with all parties. During the commissioning period, they overcame multiple challenges such as extreme natural conditions like cold weather and sandstorms, language barriers, and the import and export of cross-border materials and equipment. With "Chinese speed" and "Chinese technology", they tackled difficulties and worked overtime to optimize control strategies. Rapid response and resolution of system flaws significantly improved the fit of the equipment to the production process, smoothly ensured the high-quality delivery and one-time successful commissioning of the system, and during the full set start-up of the unit, the DCS control system operated stably with excellent performance, and the protection, control and regulation functions were stable and reliable The technical strength and service quality of the "five ones" business philosophy have been highly recognized by the Kyrgyz owner and partners.

The project's commissioning ended the "garbage siege" of the Kyrgyz capital, set an example of green cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan, and injected solid momentum into the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
