SCIYON and GreenGo Energy Explore Green Power–Green Hydrogen–Green Ammonia Integration | Danish GreenGo Energy Delegation Visits SCIYON for Exchange

Release time:2026/09/17

On September 15, Dr. Karsten Nielsen, founder of the Danish green energy investment company GreenGo Energy (GGE), led a delegation to visit SCIYON for exchange. Liu Guoyao, Chairman of SCIYON, and Cao Ruifeng, Senior Vice President, among others, warmly received the guests.

GGE is an innovative technology company focused on the green energy sector. Its core business covers the development, construction, and operation of utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage system (BESS), and Power-to-X projects. Committed to accelerating the global green transition through renewable energy system technology solutions and business model innovation, it is currently leading the development of million-ton-scale green ammonia (green NH₃) projects in Mauritania and Namibia.

In the SCIYON exhibition hall, the delegation gained a systematic understanding of the company's innovation and development journey and its off-grid source-grid-load-storage integrated dispatch system. The technical accumulation and engineering practice SCIYON has developed in a number of large-scale off-grid, high-proportion new energy industrial power supply projects — such as the Mami Co Salt Lake in Tibet, PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical, and Hengyi Brunei Petrochemical — provide important reference for the development of world-class green ammonia projects.

During the technical exchange, the two sides focused on the two green ammonia benchmark projects GGE plans to build in Mauritania and Namibia, and SCIYON presented its full-stack technical capabilities for green ammonia projects.

Optimized configuration: For the complex coupled system of "wind and solar power generation – water electrolysis for hydrogen production – electricity and hydrogen storage – ammonia synthesis," a full-process capacity optimization configuration model is built, with the levelized cost of ammonia (LCOA) minimization as the goal, to quantitatively optimize the capacity matching relationship among new energy, energy storage (electricity/hydrogen), and chemical plants, providing a quantitative basis for project investment decisions and scheme comparison.

Safe operation: Relying on the off-grid source-grid-load-storage integrated dispatch and control system, it overcomes the challenges of frequency and voltage stability and inertia support under high-proportion off-grid new energy conditions; based on rapid energy storage regulation, it coordinates the dispatch of flexible loads such as electrolyzers and ammonia synthesis units, smooths new energy power fluctuations, and ensures the safe, stable, and continuous power supply of the off-grid system.

Economic dispatch: Centered on high-precision full-process modeling of green hydrogen and green ammonia and real-time optimized dispatch algorithms, it dynamically optimizes the spatiotemporal balance of electricity, hydrogen, and materials, with the goal of maximizing net revenue, achieving efficient coordination and economic operation of all links in hydrogen production and ammonia synthesis under intermittent new energy power supply conditions.

The GGE delegation highly recognized SCIYON's technical accumulation and engineering experience in the field of large-scale complex energy systems, and looks forward to in-depth cooperation with SCIYON around green ammonia projects. Both sides agreed that the collaboration between GGE and SCIYON will provide Chinese solutions and contribute Chinese wisdom to the global green energy transition, and strongly promote the development of global carbon neutrality.
